"Silent workshop":
-

-

Icebreaking exercises: Gill presents the following workshop as a "Silent workshop" only she is allowed to talk during the next hours. Also the coffee / tea break must be held without speaking words.
She asks us to take care of eachother and ourselves.

-

"Simon says": Two circles are made - inside / outside. Being part of the circle Gill leads us by clapping her hands. Everybody is trying to follow her in the rhythm and the way of clapping: silently, loudly, slowly, quickly etc.
Not only the way of clapping changes all the time, but also the surface from floor to face or whole body etc. Doing this we are both sitting down and standing up.
Finally, standing, we give the person in front of us a shoulder massage.

-
"Working together": Divided in two large groups, Gill divides the room with chairs in a row placed in different positions. By turns each group is supposed to cross the chairs: with open eyes / closed eyes / hands on bag / carrying a person etc. After each practice both groups applause the others and themselves.
-
"The Mirror": Divided in pairs two and two - One leads the other with his / hers right hand. The other one follows the movements of the hand. Taking turns.
-
"Trusting part 1": Again two and two - One person let him / her fall backwards and trusting the other to catch her. Again taking turns to fall and catch.
-
"Trusting part 2": Groups of ten people - One by one is the members of the group standing in the center of the group. With closed eyes and arms crossed on the chest he / she is falling and then gently being pushed / catched by the other mmbers of the group.

(As mentioned was the coffee/tea break as the rest of the workshop held in silence.)
-
"Blindfolded walk": One big row one´s own hand on the shoulder in front and the hand from the person behind on one´s own shoulder. Closed eyes. We walk through the hotel, silently with closed eyes. If you get insecure / nervous / scared or you lose the person in front of you, you can at any time reach up your left hand up, and one of the helpers will assist you whether you want to quit the walk or you want to get in line again.
-
"Blindfolded run": Back in the conference room, still with our eyes closed, Gill asks us one by one to run toward her - knowing we would be caught. Anna helps us up from where we are placed on the floor. We are told only run, when we were ready. After running (and getting caught!) we could open our eyes and watch the rest running.
-
"1-10": One big circle: saying numbers in order from 1 - 10: 1,2,3….10. The one who are saying the number out loud shall at the same time sit down. If two persons say the same number at the same time or the numbers are being said in the wrong order, the whole group must start all over

-
"Fingers together": Put the index-finger together with the index-finger of the person beside you - Gill claps her hands and everyone shall clap at the same time. Do it until you succeed with doing ONE BIG CLAP!
(Much focus and big concentration in all the exercises)
